Dosage administration
- Adult & Adolescent over 16 years:
- Osteoarthritis: 30 mg once daily, may increase to 60 mg for insufficient relief
- Rheumatoid arthritis: 90 mg once daily
- Ankylosing spondylitis: 90 mg once daily
- Acute gouty arthritis: 120 mg once daily for 8 days
- Postoperative dental surgery pain: 90 mg once daily, max 3 days
- Additional: Shortest duration and lowest effective dose recommended due to cardiovascular risks
Interaction
- Oral anticoagulants may increase prothrombin time
- NSAIDs may reduce the effect of diuretics and antihypertensive drugs
- May be used concomitantly with low-dose acetylsalicylic acid for cardiovascular prophylaxis

- Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
- Active peptic ulceration or Gl bleeding
- History of hypersensitivity reactions to NSAIDs or COX-2 inhibitors
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Severe hepatic dysfunction
- Estimated renal creatinine clearance <30 ml/min
- Children & adolescents under 16 years
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Congestive heart failure
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Established ischaemic heart disease

Overdose effects
- Single doses up to 500 mg and multiple doses up to 150 mg/day did not result in significant toxicity
- Usual supportive measures to be employed in case of overdose
