Indications
- Symptomatic relief of dry skin conditions
Pharmacology
- Emollient with occlusive properties
- Topical application
- No significant systemic absorption of active ingredients
- Substantial penetration into the stratum corneum
Dosage & Administration
- Apply thin film to affected area of skin
- Direction of hair growth
- Repeat as necessary
- Apply 3-4 times a day or at least twice a day
- Up to 500g/week for large affected area
- For topical administration only
Side Effects
- Prolonged use may cause folliculitis
- Discontinue use if folliculitis occurs
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safety not established during pregnancy and lactation
- Considered not to constitute a hazard
Precautions & Warnings
- Apply in the direction of hair growth
- To reduce folliculitis incidence
Overdose Effects
- Low toxicity if ingested
- Supportive and symptomatic treatment for ingestion
- Gastric lavage not recommended due to risk of inhalation or aspiration
