Pharmacology

  • Bactericidal second generation cephalosporin antibiotic
  • Active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms
  • Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis
  • Clavulanic acid provides protection from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes

  • Dosage for Adolescents and adults
  • Dosage for Paediatric Patients
  • Can be taken without regard of food

Interaction

Concomitant administration of probenecid

  • Known allergy to cephalosporin
  • Pseudomembranous Colitis
