Pharmacology
- ModeOfAction: Interference with the enzyme DNA gyrase needed for the synthesis of bacterial DNA
- Absorption: Rapid and well absorbed from the G.I. tract
- HalfLife: About 3.5 hours
- Excretion: 30% to 50% in the urine within 24 hours
InteractionInfo
- ConcurrentAdministration: Avoid with Magnesium or Aluminum containing antacids or sucralfate. Products containing Calcium, Iron or Zinc may be taken two hours after or six hours before Cipex. Avoid concurrent intake with milk or other dairy products.
