Indications

Composition
- 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol
Pharmacology
- Bactericidal effect of chlorhexidine cation
- Bacteriostatic effect at low concentrations
- Membrane disruption at high concentrations
Dosage & Administration
- Disinfecting clean hands: Apply approximately 3 ml and scrub until dried
- Disinfecting surgical instruments: Immerse in approximately 5 ml for 2 minutes
- Disinfecting skin prior to surgery: Apply approximately 3 ml with cotton and scrub until dried
- Disinfecting wound/wound dressing: Apply approximately 3 ml with cotton and scrub until dried
Interaction
- Incompatibility with soaps and anionic agents
- Potential brown stains in fabrics from hypochlorite bleaches
