Pharmacology
- Medication Type: Triazole antifungal
- Mechanism of Action: Inhibition of CYP450-dependent 14-alpha sterol demethylase
- Resulting Effect: Depletion of ergosterol in fungal cell membrane
Dosage & Administration

- 40kg and over:
- Loading dose: 400mg or 10ml every 12 hours for the first 24 hours
- Maintenance dose: 200mg or 5ml twice daily after 24 hours
- Below 40kg:
- Loading dose: 200mg or 5ml every 12 hours for the first 24 hours
- Maintenance dose: 100mg or 2.5ml twice daily after 24 hours
- 40kg and over:

- Loading dose: 6mg/kg 12 hourly for the first 24 hours
