Post-marketing reports of increased INR when co-administered with warfarin
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the product

Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy Category C. Not recommended during pregnancy or for nursing mothers
Precautions & Warnings
- Historical data have shown that microfilaricidal drugs, such as diethylcarbamazine citrate, might cause cutaneous and/or systemic reactions
- Patients treated with Emect for onchocerciasis may experience reactions
- Rarely, patients with onchocerciasis who are also heavily infected with Loa loa may develop a serious or even fatal encephalopathy
Use in Special Populations
- Pediatric Use - Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients weighing less than 15 kg have not been established
- Geriatric Use - Clinical studies of Emect did not include sufficient numbers of subjects aged 65 and over
