Indications
- Adjunct to diet and exercise for type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Improves glycemic control in adults with diabetes

Pharmacology
- Inhibitor of DPP-4 enzyme
- Increases concentration of active incretin hormones

Dosage & Administration
- Maximum recommended dose of 2.5 mg Linagliptin and 1000 mg Metformin Hydrochloride twice daily with meals
- Dose escalation should be gradual to reduce gastrointestinal side effects
- Different dosage for immediate and extended release tablets

Interaction
