Dekalin VT 10 mg (Vaginal Tablet)

Indications

• Treatment of bacterial vaginosis
• Active against bacteria causing bacterial vaginosis

Dosage

• Recommended daily dose of 1 vaginal tablet for 6 days
• Insufficient experience in children under 18 years
• Safe for use during pregnancy and lactation if medically needed

Administration

• Use every evening before bed
• Insert one vaginal tablet deeply into the vagina
• Do not stop treatment early, even if symptoms improve
• In case of dry vagina, moisten the vaginal tablet before insertion

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
• Ulceration of vaginal epithelium and cervix
• Pre-menstrual girls who have not reached sexual maturity

Side Effects

• May cause vaginal discharge, itching, burning, yeast infection
• Possible side effects include vaginal bleeding, pain, inflammation, headache, and nausea

Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid intravaginal use of soaps, spermicides, and douches during treatment
• Prohibit unprotected sexual intercourse during treatment
• Do not use within 12 hours before birth to minimize newborn exposure

Overdose Effects

• High dose or prolonged use may increase risk of vaginal ulcerations
• Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet

Storage Conditions

• Store below 30°C in a dry place
• Do not use after the expiry date
