Pharmacology

Interaction
- Chelates with tetracycline
- Interference with oral tetracycline antibiotics
- Minimize gastrointestinal discomfort by taking with meals
- Impaired iron absorption with penicillamine and antacid
- Risk of zinc accumulation in renal failure patients
Contraindications
- Haemolytic anaemia
- Hypersensitivity to components

Overdose Effects

- Symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension, seizures, shock, coma
