Indications
- Treatment of single or mixed infections caused by susceptible organisms
- Treatment of infections resistant to other antibiotics
- Treatment of urinary, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and gonorrhea infections
- Treatment of skin, soft tissue, and bone infections
- Treatment of eye, ear, nose, throat, and pelvic infections
Pharmacology
- Synthetic quinolone anti-infective agent
- Broad spectrum of activity
- Active against gram-negative and gram-positive aerobic bacteria
- Bactericidal action from interference with DNA gyrase enzyme
- Rapid and well absorption from the gastrointestinal tract
Dosage
- Dosage determined by severity, infection type, and patient characteristics
- Dosage range for adults: 100-750 mg twice daily
- Specific dosage for urinary, respiratory, and gonorrhea infections
- Dosage adjustment for impaired renal function
- Duration of treatment based on severity and clinical response
Administration
- Instructions for use of Ciprofloxacin IV infusion

Interaction
- Avoiding concurrent administration with certain antacids and products containing Calcium, Iron, or Zinc
- Avoiding concurrent use with milk or dairy products
Contraindications
- History of hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or other quinolones

Pregnancy & Lactation

Overdose Effects
