Indications
- Treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by bacteria and fungi infections
- Treatment of tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis
- Treatment of acute and chronic eczema
Composition
- Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.5 mg
- Clotrimazole 10 mg
- Gentamicin Sulfate 1 mg
Mode of Action
- Anti-inflammatory actions of Betamethasone Dipropionate
- Antipruritic actions of Betamethasone Dipropionate
- Vasoconstrictive actions of Betamethasone Dipropionate
- Broad spectrum antifungal activity of Clotrimazole
- Wide-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic activity of Gentamicin Sulfate
Dosage & Administration
- Apply gently into affected skin areas twice daily
- Duration of therapy varies depending upon extent and location of disease and patient response
- Regular application for effective treatment
Interaction
- Concomitant use with nephrotoxic drugs including other aminoglycosides
- Concomitant use with ototoxic drugs
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with a history of sensitivity reactions to any of its components
Side Effects
- Adverse reactions include hypochromia, burning, erythema, exudation
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safety in pregnant women not established
- Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Consider drug's importance to the lactating mother
Precautions & Warnings
- Not for use with other products containing corticosteroid
- Not for application to the face or contact with eyes
- Not for prolonged use or use in extensive areas
- Not for use under an occlusive dressing, on open wounds, injured areas, exterior genital areas, and skin folds
