Indications
- Treatment of threatened miscarriage

Pharmacology
- Orally-active progestogen
- Produces complete secretory endometrium in an oestrogen-primed uterus
- Provides protection against the increased risk for endometrium hyperplasia and carcinogenesis induced by oestrogens
Dosage & Administration
- Must be taken exactly as prescribed
- Various dosages for different indications including miscarriage, dysmenorrhoea, endometriosis, dysfunctional bleeding, amenorrhoea, irregular cycles, infertility, and luteal support
- Specific instructions for hormone replacement therapy
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
- Known or suspected progestogen dependent neoplasms (e.g. meningioma)

Pregnancy & Lactation
- No harmful effect indicated during pregnancy
- No data on excretion in mother's milk
- Risk to the child is unknown
- Not to be used during lactation period
Precautions & Warnings
- Etiology for abnormal bleeding should be clarified before initiating treatment
- Breakthrough bleeding and spotting may occur
- Monitoring required for various disorders and conditions
- Patients with a history of depression must be carefully monitored
Overdose Effects
- Well tolerated after oral dosing
- No ill effects reported from overdose
- Gastric lavage recommended if large overdose is discovered within two or three hours
