Indications

• Topical treatment of inflamed dermatoses
• Treatment of infected eczema
• Treatment of moist or dry eczema
• Treatment of dermatitis including atopic eczema
• Treatment of primary irritant or contact allergic eczema
• Treatment of seborrheic eczema
• Treatment of interiginous eczema
• Treatment of perianal and genital dermatitis
• Target organisms: dermatophytes and pathogenic yeasts
• Target bacteria: Streptococcus and Staphylococcus

Pharmacology

• Substituted imidazole
• Azole family
• Treatment of superficial candidiasis
• Treatment of skin infections dermatophytosis
• Treatment of pityriasis versicolor
• Activity against Aspergillus spp.
• Activity against Cryptococcus neoformans
• Activity against Pseudalescheria boydii
• Imidazole antifungal agents
• Effect on ergosterol synthesis

Dosage & Administration

• Application as a thin film
• Application two or four times daily
• Treatment duration of 1 to 2 weeks
• Continued treatment after symptoms disappearance
• Same dosage for adults and children

Interaction

• Antagonistic interaction with Amphotericin

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to components
• Avoid use in pregnant and lactating women

Side Effects

• Rare occurrence of local sensitivity
• Possible decrease in natural hormone production

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Potential for fetal development abnormalities
• Restriction on extensive use in pregnancy
