Description
- The injection contains Diclofenac Sodium and Lidocaine used for relief of pain and inflammation in various conditions including arthritic and musculoskeletal disorders, trauma-related pain, control of pain and inflammation in surgeries, renal colic, and other painful conditions.
- Diclofenac Sodium is a potent nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) with marked analgesic and antipyretic properties.
- Lidocaine acts as a local anaesthetic, minimizing pain at the injection site when used in the indications mentioned.

Pharmacology
- Diclofenac Sodium inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxygenase, while Lidocaine impairs nerve impulse generation and conduction by slowing depolarization.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or local anaesthetics of the amide type
- Patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Patients in whom attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis are precipitated by Aspirin or other NSAIDs possessing prostaglandin synthetase inhibiting activity.
- Patients with Adams-Stokes syndrome or severe degrees of heart block
- Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients used in the formulation

Pregnancy precautions

Special precautions warnings
- Close observation in patients with severe hepatic, cardiac or renal insufficiency, or the elderly
- Deterioration of renal function may result from NSAID use
- Monitor renal, hepatic function, and blood counts in long-term NSAID treatment
- Discontinue Diclofenac if abnormal liver function tests persist or worsen, clinical signs or symptoms of liver disease develop, or other manifestations occur
