Indications
- Treatment of hypertension
Pharmacology
- Olmesartan blocks vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin-II
- Hydrochlorothiazide affects renal tubular mechanisms of electrolyte reabsorption
Mode of Action
- Selective blocking of angiotensin-II binding
- Increased excretion of sodium and chloride
Dosage & Administration
- Usual starting dose 20/12.5 mg once daily
- Dosing should be individualized
