Indications

Composition
- 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol
Pharmacology
Bactericidal effect by binding positively charged chlorhexidine cation to negatively charged bacterial cell walls
Dosage & Administration
- Disinfects clean hands and contaminated materials by scrubbing with 3 ml
- Disinfects surgical instruments by immersing in 5 ml solution for 2 minutes
- Disinfects skin prior to surgery or other invasive procedures by scrubbing with 3 ml solution
- Disinfects wound/wound dressing by scrubbing with 3 ml solution
Interaction
Incompatible with soaps and other anionic agents. May cause brown stains in fabrics previously in contact with chlorhexidine solutions

Hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or any composition
