Indications
Zinc deficiency, Malabsorption, Trauma, Burns, Diarrhea, Protein losing conditions
Pharmacology
Essential trace element, Enzyme systems, Normal growth, Sexual maturation, Immune defenses
Dosage
- Child under 10 kg: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 2 times daily after food
- Child between 10-30 kg: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after food
- Adults and child over 30 kg: 20 ml (4 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after food
- Most effective if taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hour after meals
Administration
Dispersible tablet administration: Place tablet in a teaspoon, Add water, Let the tablet dissolve completely, Give entire spoonful solution
Interaction
Decreased absorption with tetracycline, quinolone drug, and penicillamine
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation

Pregnancy & Lactation
Safety not established in human pregnancy, Zinc crosses placenta and is present in breast milk
