Indications
- Treatment of inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery
- Treatment of uveitis
- Treatment of pseudophakic cystoid macular edema
- Treatment of blepharitis
- Treatment of corneal inflammation
Pharmacology
- Corticosteroids inhibit the inflammatory response
- Delay or slow healing
- Inhibit edema
- Inhibit fibrin deposition
- Inhibit capillary dilation
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac
- 4 times daily after ocular surgery
- 2 times daily for uveitis
- 2 times daily for pseudophakic cystoid macular edema
- Taper based on the response

Contraindications
- Active viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
- Mycobacterial infection of the eye
- Fungal diseases of ocular structures

- Elevated intraocular pressure
- Visual acuity and field defects
- Cataract formation
- Ocular infection
- Perforation of the globe
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy Category C
- Embryotoxic and teratogenic in rabbits
- Use during pregnancy if potential benefit justifies the risk
- Caution in nursing mothers

- Prolonged use may result in glaucoma
- Cataract formation
- Herpes simplex caution
- Fungal infections caution
- Do not touch dropper tip to any surface

Overdose Effects
