Indications

Pharmacology
- Active form: Calcitriol

Dosage & Administration
- 40,000 IU once weekly for 7 weeks for adults
- Special therapy for osteoporosis: 20,000 IU once a month

- For oroflash or chewable tablets: 1000-2000 IU daily

Interaction
- Many drugs can cause Vitamin D3 deficiencies
- Drugs like Magnesium containing Antacids, Digoxin, Thiazide Diuretics interfere with absorption
