Description
- Bisopol 5 mg Tablet is a beta-blocker medication used for hypertension, angina, and heart failure.
Dosage
Recommended daily dose for adults is 5 mg, with the possibility of dose escalation to 10 mg and then 20 mg, while in children, safety and effectiveness have not been established.

Contraindications
- Cardiogenic shock
- Overt heart failure
- Second or third degree A-V block
- Right ventricular failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension
- Sinus bradycardia
Mode of Action
Bisoprolol selectively blocks ß1 adrenergic receptor in the heart and reduces heart rate and cardiac output, resulting in a decrease in arterial hypertension.

Use caution in adjusting the dose of Bisopol in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Patients with a history of severe anaphylactic reaction to allergens may be more reactive to repeated challenge.
