Indications
- Treatment of hypertension
- Treatment of stable coronary heart disease
- Substitution therapy for perindopril and amlodipine
Pharmacology
- Inhibition of ACE by perindopril
- Decreased plasma angiotensin II
- Inhibition of calcium ion influx by amlodipine
- Selective effect on vascular smooth muscle cells
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended daily dosage of one tablet
- Preferably taken in the morning before a meal
- Dose adjustment based on clinical judgment
Interactions
- Potential interaction with baclofen
- Increased hypotensive effects with nitroglycerine
- Caution with combined use of vasodilators
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to active ingredients or excipients
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation
Side Effects
- Common adverse reactions reported with perindopril and amlodipine
- Includes oedema, somnolence, dizziness, headache, dyspnoea, nausea, vomiting
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation
