Indications
- Hypertension
- Chronic stable angina

Pharmacological Mechanism
- Calcium channel blocking
- HMG-CoA reductase inhibition
Dosage Administration
- Initial oral dose of Amlodipine: 5mg once daily
- Initial dose of Atorvastatin: 10mg daily
- Dosage adjustment based on patient's need
Drug Interaction
- Increased risk of myopathy with concurrent administration of certain drugs
- Potentiation of antihypertensive effects with amlodipine
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine
- Hypersensitivity to any component of Atorvastatin
- Active liver disease
Side Effects
- Acute hypotension rarely reported with Amlodipine
- Elevation in serum creatine phosphokinase levels with Atorvastatin
- Uncomplicated myalgia in Atorvastatin-treated patients
Pregnancy Lactation
- Safety not established in pregnancy
- Not recommended during breastfeeding
Precautions Warnings
- Increased Angina and/or Myocardial Infarction may occur rarely
- Caution in patients with severe obstructive coronary artery disease
- Caution in patients with heart failure
- Monitoring and consideration of stopping therapy in case of elevated CPK levels or myopathy
Special Populations Use
- Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric use
- Similar efficacy and safety in older patients using recommended doses
