Indications
- Relieves dry (non-productive) cough

Pharmacology
- Butamirate Citrate acts directly on the brain's cough center to suppress cough

Dosage and administration
- Butamirate Citrate 50 mg tablet: 2-3 tablets daily for adults
- Butamirate Citrate syrup: 15 ml 4 times daily for adults
- Butamirate Citrate pediatric drops: 0.50-0.75 ml 4 times daily for children (2 months - 3 years)
- Consult physician for dosages for children & adolescents
Interaction
- Concomitant use with expectorants should be avoided
