Description

Interaction with Digoxin
Increases digoxin levels when taken together
Interaction with Rifampin
Results in a 60% decrease in Cmax and AUC
Warfarin Interaction
Does not alter the in vitro plasma protein binding
Interaction with Clonidine
Potentiates the pressor reaction following sudden withdrawal of treatment with clonidine
Contraindications
- Decompensated heart failure requiring intravenous inotropic therapy
- Bronchial asthma or related bronchospastic conditions
- Second or third-degree AV block
- Sick sinus syndrome without a permanent pacemaker
- Cardiogenic shock or severe bradycardia
