Description

  • Acid-stable
  • Semi-synthetic oral cephalosporin
  • Rapidly absorbed after oral administration

Pharmacology

  • Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis
  • Binds to penicillin-binding proteins
  • Arrests cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death

Dosage & Administration

  • Adult dosage for pharyngitis and tonsillitis
  • Adult dosage for urinary tract infections
  • Adult dosage for skin and skin structure infections
  • Children dosage
  • Administration with or without meals
  • Diminishes potential gastrointestinal complaints

  • No significant drug interaction with other drugs
