Indications

Pharmacology
- Mechanism of action: Interferes in bacterial cell wall synthesis
- Contains peptidoglycan for mechanical stability
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 250 mg to 500 mg every 6 hours
- Maximum adult dosage in severe infections: 3g to 6g daily
- Children's dosage range: 25-100 mg/kg/day
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics
