Indications
- Symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract disorders
- Productive cough

Pharmacology
- Pseudoephedrine as decongestant and bronchodilator
- Vasoconstriction via α-adrenergic receptors stimulation
- Bronchial relaxation via β-adrenergic receptors stimulation
- Guaifenesin as an expectorant
- Reduction of viscosity of sputum
- Hydration of respiratory tract
- Triprolidine as an antihistamine
- Relief of hypersensitivity reactions
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) three times a day
- Children 6-12 years dosage: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) three times a day
- Children 2-5 years dosage: 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoonful) three times a day
- Prefer physician's advice for children < 2 years
Interaction
- Concomitant use of sympathomimetic agents
- Risk of rise in blood pressure
- Partial reversal of hypotensive action of certain drugs
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to constituents
- Cardiovascular disease including hypertension
- Lower respiratory symptoms including asthma
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) therapy
