Indications
- Prevention of angina pectoris
- Treatment of coronary artery disease
Pharmacology
- Relaxation of vascular smooth muscle
- Dilatation of peripheral arteries and veins
- Reduction of left ventricular end-diastolic pressure
- Arteriolar relaxation
- Reduction of systemic vascular resistance
Dosage & Administration
- Usual oral dose of 20 mg, 2 times daily
- Maintenance doses ranging from 20 mg to 120 mg
- Dose adjustment under physician's direction
Interaction
- Contraindicated with phosphodiesterase inhibitors
- Contraindicated with riociguat
- Additive effects with other vasodilators
- Possible dose adjustment with calcium channel blockers
