Indications
- treatment of eczema
- treatment of dermatitis
- treatment of atopic eczema
- treatment of photodermatitis
- treatment of otitis externa
- maintenance therapy for topical steroids
Pharmacology
- topically active corticosteroid
- more effective than 1% Hydrocortisone
- little effect on hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal function
- causes less thinning of the epidermis
Dosage & Administration
- apply up to four times a day
- reduce frequency of application when improvement occurs

Contraindications
- skin lesions caused by viral infections
- skin lesions caused by fungal infections
- skin lesions caused by bacterial infections

- prolonged application to the face is undesirable
