Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhino conjunctivitis (seasonal and perennial)
- Symptomatic treatment of urticaria
- Relief of hay fever symptoms
Pharmacology
- Potent non-sedating histamine antagonist
- High affinity to H1 receptor
- Selective binding to H1 receptor
- No affinity for other histamine receptor subtypes
- Excellent safety profile
- Favorable pharmacokinetic characteristics
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 20 mg tablet once daily on an empty stomach
- Maximum daily dose: 20 mg
- Children 6 to 11 years: 10 mg mouth dissolving tablet once daily
- Children 2 to 11 years: 4 ml once daily
Interaction
- Concomitant use with ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine, or diltiazem increases concentration
- No interaction with alcohol
- No potentiation of CNS effects with lorazepam

- Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
