Indications
- Reduce very high triglyceride levels
- Adjunct in secondary prevention of myocardial infarction
- Reduce joint inflammation associated with mild arthritis

Composition
- Active Ingredients:
- Omega-3-Acid Ethyl Esters BP 1000 mg
- Eicosapentaenoic Acid BP 80 mg
- Docosahexaenoic Acid BP 120 mg
Pharmacology
- Reduces triglyceride production by the liver
- Inhibits triglyceride synthesis
- Increases fatty acid metabolism
- Inhibits release of fatty acids
- Increases triglyceride clearance
Dosage & Administration
- Single dose of 4 capsules (4 gm) or 2 capsules (2 gm) twice daily for hypertriglyceridaemia
- 1 capsule (1 gm) daily for previously myocardial infarction patients
- 2.7 gm daily for joint inflammation associated with mild arthritis
- 1 capsule (1 gm) daily for mood disorders & impulse control and age-related macular degeneration
Interaction
- Can be given in conjunction with warfarin with monitoring of prothrombin time

- Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication

Precautions & Warnings
- Increased bleeding time with high dosage
- Monitor patients receiving anti-coagulant therapy
- Use not recommended in children
- Fall in thromboxane A2 production
- Monitor ASAT and ALAT levels in patients with signs of liver damage
