Dosage

  • 40000 IU once weekly for 7 weeks (Adults)
  • 1400-2000 IU/day for maintenance therapy (Adults)
  • 20000 IU every 4 weeks for prevention (Adults)

  • 20000 IU once every 2 weeks for 6 weeks (Children 12-18 years)
  • 20000 IU every 6 weeks for prevention (Children 12-18 years)
  • 1000 IU (1-2 tablets) daily for film-coated tablet

  • Hypercalcaemia
  • Known hypersensitivity to Vitamin D3
  • Evidence of Vitamin D3 toxicity

Precautions & Warnings

  • Monitor plasma-calcium concentration in patients receiving high doses
  • Consult a health care practitioner before supplementing with Vitamin D3 if using Digoxin and Thiazide Diuretics
  • Consult a health care practitioner before supplementing with Vitamin D3 if having liver or kidney disease, primary hyperthyroidism, lymphoma, tuberculosis, or granulomatous disease
