Dosage
- 40000 IU once weekly for 7 weeks (Adults)
- 1400-2000 IU/day for maintenance therapy (Adults)
- 20000 IU every 4 weeks for prevention (Adults)
- 20000 IU once a month for osteoporosis (Adults)
- 20000 IU once every 2 weeks for 6 weeks (Children 12-18 years)
- 20000 IU every 6 weeks for prevention (Children 12-18 years)
- 1000 IU (1-2 tablets) daily for film-coated tablet
- 1000-2000 IU daily for oroflash or chewable tablets
- 400 IU/ day for infants (0-1 yr) with risk of Cholecalciferol deficiency

Interactions
- Interferes with drugs such as Magnesium containing Antacids, Digoxin, Thiazide Diuretics, Cholestyramine, Cholistipol, Phenytoin, Phenobarbital, Orlistat, Mineral Oil, and Corticosteroids

- Hypercalcaemia
- Known hypersensitivity to Vitamin D3
- Evidence of Vitamin D3 toxicity

Precautions & Warnings
- Monitor plasma-calcium concentration in patients receiving high doses
- Consult a health care practitioner before supplementing with Vitamin D3 if using Digoxin and Thiazide Diuretics
- Consult a health care practitioner before supplementing with Vitamin D3 if having liver or kidney disease, primary hyperthyroidism, lymphoma, tuberculosis, or granulomatous disease
