Indications
- Treatment and prevention of zinc and vitamin B deficiencies
Composition
- Thiamine Hydrochloride BP 5 mg
- Riboflavin-5-Phosphate Sodium BP 2.74 mg equivalent to Riboflavin 2 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP 2 mg
- Nicotinamide BP 20 mg
- Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate USP 27.45 mg equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg
Pharmacology
- Zinc vital for immunity enhancement, wound healing, digestion, reproduction, growth, mental development
- B-Vitamins release energy from food, ensure healthy brain and nerve function, red blood cell formation
Dosage & Administration
- Syrup for Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) 2 to 3 times daily
- Syrup for Children: 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) 1 to 3 times daily
- Syrup for Infants: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 1 to 2 times daily
- Tablet for Adults & Children over 30 kg: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times daily
Interaction
- Concomitant intake of tetracyclines and zinc may decrease the absorption and serum levels of tetracyclines
- Concomitant administration of zinc and fluroquinolones may decrease the absorption and serum levels of some fluroquinolones
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
Side Effects
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset may occur
- Side effects reported with specific vitamins at levels substantially higher than recommended doses
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Recommended in pregnancy and lactation
Precautions & Warnings
- Dosage adjustment needed in acute renal failure
- Not intended for the treatment of severe specific deficiencies
Overdose Effects
- In case of overdosage, epigastric pain, diarrhea, vomiting can occur
