Indications
- Treatment of eczema in children and adults
- Infantile and descoid eczema

Pharmacology
- Betamethasone Valerate BP is a synthetic adrenocorticosteroid
- Anti-inflammatory activity
- Antipruritic properties
- Vasoconstrictive activity
- Absorption from the skin
Dosage & Administration
- Apply sparingly to the affected area two or three times daily
- Twice daily or less after improvement
- Usual maximum duration of therapy is three weeks

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Rosaceae & acne vulgaris
- Perioral dermatitis, perianal & genital pruritis
- Viral infections of the skin
- Primary infected skin lesions caused by fungi or bacteria
- Dermatoses in children under one year of age

Precautions & Warnings
- Signs of hypersensitivity
- Long term continuous topical therapy avoidance where possible
- Adrenal suppression may occur even without occlusion
- Symptoms of hypercorticolism with systemic absorption
- Atrophic changes after prolonged treatment
- Avoiding entry into the eye when applied to the eyelids
