Indications
- Add-on therapy for stable angina pectoris
Pharmacology
- First 3-keto acyl CoA thiolase inhibitor
- Metabolic anti-ischemic agent
- Inhibition of fatty acid pathway
- Aerobic oxidation of glucose
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose of 35mg twice daily or 20mg thrice daily
- Administration during meals
- Assessment of treatment response after three months
Interaction
- No reported drug interactions
- Not reported with beta-blockers, calcium antagonists, nitrates, heparin, hypolipidemic agents or digitalis preparation
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
- Parkinson's disease or symptoms
- Severe renal impairment
