Indications
- Allergic rhino conjunctivitis (seasonal and perennial)
- Urticaria
- Relief of hay fever symptoms
Pharmacology
- Potent and effective non-sedating histamine antagonist
- High affinity to H1 receptor
- No affinity for 30 other receptors
- Excellent safety profile
- Excretion by feces and urine
Dosage & Administration
- 20 mg tablet once daily for adults & adolescents
- 10 mg mouth dissolving tablet for children between 6 to 11 years
- 4 ml once daily for children between 2 to 11 years
Interaction
- Increased concentration with ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine, or diltiazem
- No potentiation of depressant CNS effects with lorazepam
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
