Indications

  • Breast Cancer treatment after chemotherapy failure
  • Adjuvant treatment of operable node-positive Breast Cancer
  • Treatment of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer after platinum therapy failure
  • Unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic untreated Non-small Cell Lung Cancer treatment
  • Treatment of Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
  • Treatment of Gastric Adenocarcinoma
  • Induction treatment of locally advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

Pharmacology

  • Antineoplastic agent disrupting the microtubular network
  • Promotes assembly of tubulin into stable microtubules
  • Inhibits disassembly of microtubules
  • Binds to free tubulin

Dosage & Administration

  • Administer intravenously over 1 hour every 3 weeks
  • Follow specific dosage guidelines for different indications
  • Use only a 21 gauge needle to withdraw from the vial
  • Premedicate with oral corticosteroids

Interaction

  • CYP3A4 substrate
  • Metabolism may be modified by concomitant administration of certain compounds

Contraindications

  • Neutrophil counts of <1500 cells/mm3
  • History of severe hypersensitivity reactions to docetaxel or polysorbate 80

Precautions & Warnings
