Pharmacology
- Increases cerebral metabolism
- Improves cerebral microcirculation
- Increases cerebral blood flow
- Elevates ATP concentration
- Increases cerebral norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin levels
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet: 1-2 tablets thrice daily
- IM Injection: Daily dose of 20-40 mg
- IV Infusion: The daily starting dose is 20 mg
Interaction
Chemically incompatible with heparin
Contraindications
Severe ischaemic heart disease, severe rhythm disorders and pregnancy
Side Effects
- Transient hypotension
- Tachycardia
