Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Orotate

Dosage & Administration
- 400 mg: Recommended 2-3 tablets with meal
- 740 mg: Recommended 1-2 tablets with meal
Interactions
- Decreases absorption of certain drugs
- Can interact with biphosphonates, quinolone antibiotics, tetracycline antibiotics, levothyroxine, phenytoin, and more
Contraindications
- Not suitable for conditions like infrequent bowel movements, kidney stone, kidney disease, high calcium levels in urine or blood, extreme loss of body water
Side Effects
- Common side effects include bloating and swelling in the abdomen
- Possible side effects include loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, unusual weight loss, increased thirst/urination, weakness, unusual tiredness, and formation of kidney stones
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Supplemental forms can help reduce the risk of pregnancy-related high blood pressure

- Precaution needed for patients allergic to Xtracal OT
- Precaution needed for patients with kidney disease, kidney stones, little or no stomach acid, heart disease, disease of the pancreas, and malabsorption syndrome
