Interaction

Contraindications
- Not for patients receiving repeated blood transfusions
- Not for patients with anaemias not produced by iron deficiency
- Unless iron deficiency is also present

Precautions & Warnings
- Chelates with antacid and tetracycline
- Absorption may be impaired if taken concurrently
- Tetracycline administration during pregnancy is contraindicated

- Epigastric pain
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Haematemesis
- Circulatory collapse
- Encephalopathy (in severe cases)
- Acute hepatic necrosis (in severe cases)
- Acute renal failure (in severe cases)
