Pharmacology
- Increases cerebral metabolism
- Improves cerebral hypoxia tolerance
- Promotes O2 transport into tissues
- Increases ATP concentration

Dosage & Administration
- Tablet: 1-2 tablets thrice daily
- IM Injection: Daily dose of 20-40 mg
- IV Infusion: Daily starting dose is 20 mg in slow drip infusion
Interactions
- Chemically incompatible with heparin
Contraindications
- Severe ischaemic heart disease
- Severe rhythm disorders
- Pregnancy for parenteral treatment
