Pharmacology

  • Divided doses for syrup
  • Different dosage for adults and children
  • Maximum daily doses for epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and migraine prophylaxis
  • Slow intravenous injection for adults and children
  • Continuous or repeated infusion for injection
  • Compatible diluents for injection

Interaction

  • Non-specific inhibitor of drug metabolism
  • Significant interactions with Phenobarbital, Phenytoin, Warfarin, Aspirin
