Indications
- Treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail
- Treatment of onychomycosis of the fingernail

Pharmacology
- Inhibition of biosynthesis of Ergosterol
- Fungicidal action against Tricophyton Mentagrophyte
- Fungicidal action against Trichophyton Rubrum
Dosage & Administration
- Terbinafine 250 mg tablet for fingernail onychomycosis
- Terbinafine 250 mg tablet for toenail onychomycosis
- Usage for body weight below 25 kg
- Usage for body weight between 25-35 kg
- Usage for body weight above 35 kg
- Application of Terbinafine cream once or twice daily
- Application of Terbinafine 1% Spray once or twice daily
- Cleaning and drying affected areas before application
Interaction
- Inhibition of CYP450 2D6 isozyme
- Co-administration with careful monitoring
- Potential reduction in dose of 2D6-metabolized drugs
Contraindications
- Contra-indicated in hypersensitive individuals
