Pharmacology
- Histamine H2-receptor antagonist
- Inhibition of gastric acid secretion
Dosage & Administration
- Usual dose for adults: Famotidine 20 mg twice daily
- Usual dosage for acute gastritis: Famotidine 20 mg twice a day
- Dosage for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(GERD) in different age groups
Interaction
- No clinically important drug interactions
- No interaction with cytochrome P450-linked drug-metabolizing enzyme system

- Known hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
