Indications
- Acute treatment of migraines with or without aura in adults
Pharmacology
- Therapeutic activity due to the agonist effects at the 5-HT1B/1D receptors on intracranial blood vessels and sensory nerves of the trigeminal system
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended starting dose of 2.5 mg tablet
- Maximum recommended single dose of 5 mg
- Maximum daily dose of 10 mg in any 24-hour period
- Recommended starting dose of Zolmitriptan Nasal Spray 5 mg
- Maximum daily dose of Zolmitriptan Nasal Spray should not exceed 10 mg in any 24-hour period
Contraindications
- Ischemic coronary artery disease
- History of stroke
- Concurrent or recent use of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor
- Known hypersensitivity to Zolmitriptan

Pregnancy & Lactation

- Unknown excretion in human milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Rare reports of serious cardiac adverse reactions, including acute myocardial infarction
- Sensations of tightness, pain, and pressure in the chest, throat, neck, and jaw

- Not recommended for use in patients under 18 years of age
