Indications
- Reduces blood levels of growth hormone
- Suppression of severe diarrhea and flushing in carcinoid tumors
- Treatment of profuse watery diarrhea in VIPomas

- Suppresses secretion of growth hormone
- Suppresses LH response to gonadotrophin-releasing hormone
- Reduces secretion of gastrin, VIP, insulin, glucagon, secretin, motilin, and pancreatic polypeptide
