Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis
- Symptomatic treatment of urticaria
- Relief of hay fever symptoms
Pharmacology
- Potent histamine antagonist with high affinity to H1 receptor
- Non-sedating and long-acting
- Excellent safety profile
- Selective binding to H1 receptor
Dosage & Administration
- 20 mg tablet once daily for adults and adolescents
- 10 mg mouth dissolving tablet for children aged 6 to 11 years
- 4 ml once daily for children aged 2 to 11 years
- Optimal exposure on empty stomach
Interaction
- Increased concentration with ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine, or diltiazem
- No potentiation of CNS effects with lorazepam
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
