Dosage Instructions

Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets 3-4 times daily, after meals and before bedtime
Children 6-12 years: ½-1 tablet 3-4 times daily
Adults and children 12 years and above: 5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoonfuls) 3-4 times daily, after meals and before bedtime
Children 2-12 years: 2.5-5ml (½-1 teaspoonful) 3-4 times daily
Not recommended under 2 years of age
No dose modifications for elderly or hepatic impairment
Caution in case of renal insufficiency with highly restricted salt diet

Mode of Action

Forms a gel in stomach to prevent acid reflux, reacts with stomach acid to form carbon dioxide bubbles, raft lasts for up to 4 hours before breakdown and excretion in feces.

Interaction

Consider 2-hour interval between intake and administration of certain medicinal products

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to sodium alginate and potassium bicarbonate

Review clinical situation if symptoms do not improve after seven days
