Description
- Indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms
- 3rd generation cephalosporin
- Good stability to beta lactamases and activity against Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria
- Prodrug with active metabolite Cefpodoxime
- Excretion of approximately 29 to 33% in urine in 12 hours
- Indicated for a wide range of gram-positive & gram-negative bacteria
- Dosage and administration options for adults, adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients
- Dosing adjustment recommendations for patients with renal dysfunction and liver cirrhosis
- Interaction with antacids, probenecid, and nephrotoxic drugs
